What a cute idea... sneak in time with Santa for your little one while enjoying a great meal. Santa will be on-site between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call 503-226-3394 for reservations.
Today at wweek.com, Mike Thelin dishes on some recent additions to the neighborhood (Leonardo's and Isabel). We couldn't help but love the article, despite that it's not a glowing review of these spots. If only more restaurant/food writing were that funny.
Fenouil is the latest smart business to offer parking validation in the Pearl. From now through New Year's Day, the restaurant will validate up to two hours of parking at the Station Place garage (located on the Northern end of the neighborhood). They also still offer valet parking on Tuesday - Saturday nights.
Check out some the neighborhood's sweetest treats on AM Northwest today! Owners Lisa and Peter showed off some of their delicious creations... and we've been craving cupcakes since sometime after 9:30ish this morning.
Just in time for our holiday parties, the Pearl has a liquor store! But not just any liquor store - in fact, it's hardly a true liquor store, according to the owners.
Brothers Malik and Murad Pirani are the visionaries behind Pearl Specialty Market & Spirits, aiming to cater to "those seeking the finer things in life."
We got a sneak peak last night, and the store - located at 900 NW Lovejoy (in the Burlington building) - is coming together beautifully. Today is the soft opening. It will officially open in January.
According to co-owner Malik: "It's a liquor store that has been completely dressed up to meet the class and expectations of the Pearl District. We have over 300 wines, 25 cigars, fine bottled waters, chocolates, gourmet cheeses, premium oils, vinegars, crackers and caviar. Our objective is to carry a selection of 'best in class' in all these categories. We have been selective in what we carry to assure anything you buy in the store will provide you with a quality experience."
It's obvious that the Pirani brothers have put an incredible amount of thought and energy into every specialty category. For example, their fine bottled water section will span at least 15 countries and offer some exclusive items such as Bling H20 (the bottle is exquisitely handcrafted with Swarovski Crystals!), Speyside Glenlivet from Scotland, Badoit from France and Cape Karoo from South Africa.
Looks like we'll be doing our holiday gift shopping here as well... it's the perfect spot to find gifts for the friends on your list that "have everything."
