Thursday, June 28, 5:30-6:30 p.m. - "An Introduction to Pre-Prohibition Cocktails" will trace the cocktail through its golden age to the age of prohibition when wells ran dry and the cocktail changed forever. Swenson will showcase recipes dating back to the 1850s, including an original Manhattan, and rediscover some of the summer classics from the golden cocktail era.

Thursday, July 26, 5:30-6:30 p.m. - "The Evolution of the Martini" will trace the ever-changing face of the most lasting cocktail, the martini. Participants will sample various martini recipes as they were recorded throughout history, while also discovering who invented the drinks and just how dry they should be.

Thursday, August 30, 5:30- 6:30 p.m. - "Reconstructing Summer Cocktails" will reintroduce the various foreign ingredients that the pre-prohibition bartender had at their disposal. Kelley will demonstrate how these ingredients can be used in a variety of modern day summer cocktails. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample original summer cocktails from the Ten 01 menu.

Also, as we mentioned a few weeks ago, Ten 01 just started offering a great new happy hour menu from Monday - Saturday, 3-7 p.m. The Happy Hour menu includes an assortment of appetizers for $1-3, a daily selection of white, red and sparking wine for $5, a specialty cocktail for $5, and tap beer for $3. Ten 01 is located at 1001 NW Couch St. in the Pearl District.
