Today's Portland Tribune gets to know Marius Pop, owner of Pearl District bakery Nuvrei. The bakery is a bit hidden, but anyone who walks by NW 10th and Flanders knows exactly where it is - the sweet smell of pastries is unmistakable. A snippet from the interview:
Tribune: Speaking of odd shapes, do you get requests for cakes with unusual designs?Nuvrei is located at 404 NW 10th Ave. in the Pearl District.Pop: We’ve had quite a few. People will ask for theme cakes, “It’s my son’s birthday, and he really likes trains.” There are also bachelor parties, and you can imagine what they’re looking for. That’s not what we do.

Yes, thanks Tim. Apparently I hadn't had my coffee and pastries yet that morning :) I'll fix the typo to ensure anyone searching the site for "Nuvrei" finds the post.
