Weekend Bridge Closures

We just noticed this reminder from the Pearl District Neighborhood Association to steer clear of the Broadway and Burnside bridges this weekend. Here are the details:

-Saturday, Feb. 17, the Broadway Bridge will be closed from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. for filming of the movie “Untraceable.” Traffic lanes will be closed on the bridge and westside ramps throughout the day and sidewalks will be closed for up to a half hour at a time. A free shuttle service will help sidewalk users across the river when the sidewalks are closed.

-Sunday, Feb. 18, the Burnside Bridge will be closed to road and sidewalk traffic from 7 a.m. until as late as noon for work related to the current construction project. The bridge will need to be closed to traffic since the lift span will be in the open position most of the morning. The closure will impact motor vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.
