“Cheap” isn’t a word typically associated with the Pearl District. In fact, the cost of living, dining and shopping in the Pearl is often a sore subject of conversation.
Is there such thing as “cheap” in the Pearl? The answer, of course, is relative to what we each consider cheap. When it comes to good, inexpensive food, we happen to think the Pearl has plenty to offer. Here are a few of our favorite spots… please chime in and tell us about yours!
Acorn – a new neighborhood eatery with great sandwiches
PeemKaew – the perfect cheap take-out food, given their healthy portion sizes (try the pumpkin curry!)
Oba – always an inexpensive, but quality, happy hour option
Bridgeport Brewpub & Bakery – great breakfast pastries in their bakery!

Happy hour at Blue Hour always is my favorite.

District (www.districtpearl.com) is a great bargain - $8 for everything on the menu (except the beer).
Daily Cafe -- local favorite -- serves up a mean quiche, delicious specials and an outstanding brunch on the cheap.
Cha Cha Cha is the ultimate cheap eat in the 'hood. You can't argue with a $5 burrito.
Madena in the Pearl has a great -- fairly priced -- menu as well.

Byways Cafe, Fullers Coffee shop and Low Brow Lounge. Although these arent your typical Pearl "I'm so hip and sophisticated" places.

Pearlian - I second that list. I love, love, love Fullers. They know my breakfast order by heart (which isn't hard, considering you can find me there approx. 4 days a week).
